Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The round head
Draw the outline of a big round head, a little wider than it is tall. Leave a small gap at the top and a small gap at the bottom where the coat will meet it.
Step 3: The puffy body
Under the head, draw a rounded square for the puffy coat. Start with a short flat line across the top, then curve the sides down and across the bottom.
Step 4: Hat, pom-pom and eyes
Draw a straight line across the head for the hat band. Add two short lines going up from the band, a small circle on top for the pom-pom, and two small dots below the band for eyes. Then draw your first snowflake off to the side: three lines that cross in the middle like an asterisk.
Step 5: Arms up high
Draw two short curved arms reaching up and out from the sides of the coat, like you are cheering. Finish each with a small circle for a mitten at the top.
Step 6: Open mouth
Under the eyes, draw a small open mouth shaped like a rounded trapezoid, wider at the top. Put a little tongue shape inside.
Step 7: Coat details
Draw a straight line down the middle of the coat for the zipper. Then add two gently curved lines straight across the coat for the puffy sections.
Step 8: Legs and boots
Under the coat, draw two tiny short lines for legs. At the bottom of each, draw a flat oval for a boot, with the two boots side by side.
Step 9: Falling snowflakes
Around the kid, draw five more snowflakes so there are six in all. For each one, draw three lines that cross in the middle like an asterisk, so you get six little arms.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
