How to Draw a Fire Station: easy drawing guide for kids

How to Draw a Fire Station (Easy Step by Step)

A fire station is a fun drawing because it is built almost entirely from rectangles, circles, and one big arch. The tall tower with its pointy triangle roof makes it look like a little castle, and the fire truck tucked inside the garage door gives it a story. Once you can draw these simple shapes, you can build the whole station one piece at a time.

How to draw a fire station step by step

How to Draw a Fire Station · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Roof and right wall

Draw a long straight line across the top for the roof. At its right end, turn and draw a straight line down for the right wall.

  2. Step 2: Tower top and wall

Near the left end of the roof line, draw a tall straight line going down. At its top, add a short flat line going left to start the tower.

  3. Step 3: The pointy roof

Put a triangle on top of the tower, with its bottom a little wider than the tower so it sticks out on both sides.

  4. Step 4: Tower wall and ground

Draw the tower's left wall going straight down from the left corner of the triangle. Then draw one long flat line along the bottom, so everything has something to stand on.

  5. Step 5: The big garage door

In the building, draw a tall arch like an upside-down U. Let both sides come down to touch the ground line.

  6. Step 6: The fire truck

Inside the arch, draw a rounded rectangle for the front of the truck. Add a small rounded box on top, then a flat bumper line near the bottom.

  7. Step 7: Windshield and headlights

Draw a rounded rectangle for the windshield. Under it, add two small dots for headlights with a short dash between them.

  8. Step 8: Windows and round clock

On the tower, draw a little house-shaped window with a dot inside, and a small circle below it. On the building, draw a circle with a dot at the center above the arch, and a small rounded square window beside the arch.

  9. Step 9: The side door

Draw a tall skinny arch on the right side of the building, then add a tiny dot for the doorknob.

  10. Step 10: The flag

Draw a short straight pole going up from the roof line near the right end. Then draw a pointed flag shape at the top of the pole.

  11. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a fire station

  • The garage arch is the trickiest part. Start at the ground on one side, curve up and over the top, and come back down to the ground on the other side.
  • Draw the arch first and the truck second. Place the truck so it sits in the middle of the arch with a little space on each side.
  • Make the tower roof wider than the tower itself. That small overhang is what makes it look like a real roof.
