How to draw a bookworm step by step

How to Draw a Bookworm · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head and cap

Draw a round circle for the worm's head, but leave a gap at the bottom. On top, draw a flat diamond for the graduation cap and add a short tassel hanging down from the right corner.

  3. Step 3: Body and smile

Draw a small curved smile on the face. Under the head, draw two curved bands for the worm's rings, then add two straight lines going down from the sides to make the body.

  4. Step 4: Glasses

Draw two round circles side by side on the face for the glasses. Color in a big dot inside the left circle for an eye and leave the right circle open.

  5. Step 5: The book

Draw a long flat box under the worm for the book. Start with a straight line across the top, then add a slanted left side, a straight bottom, and a thin side on the right.

  6. Step 6: The worm hole

Draw a wide, flat oval around the worm's body where it meets the top of the book. It looks like a hole the worm pops out of.

  7. Step 7: Book pages

Draw a straight line across the front of the book, near the top. Then add two long stripes below it for the pages.

  8. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
