How to Draw a Wolf (Easy Step by Step)
This little wolf sits up straight with a wide head, pointy ears and a bushy tail. It is built from simple shapes: a zigzag-edged head, triangles for the ears, and ovals for the arms and feet. The zigzag fur on the cheeks and chest gives it lots of wolf personality.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and pointy ears
Draw a wide head with a wavy, zigzag edge on both cheeks and a gently curved line along the bottom for the chin. On top, draw two pointy ears that lean outward a little.
Step 3: Inner ears
Inside each ear, draw a smaller triangle shape that follows the edge of the ear. This makes the inner ear.
Step 4: Eyes and nose
Draw two small round dots for eyes, spaced apart on the face. Between and below them, draw a rounded nose shaped like a little upside-down triangle.
Step 5: Muzzle, smile and neck
Draw a small oval around the nose for the muzzle, and a wavy smile inside it under the nose. Under the chin, draw two short curved lines that start the sides of the body.
Step 6: Arms and body
Draw two tall ovals on the sides for the arms, tucked against the body. Then add a short curved line at the bottom to finish the round body.
Step 7: Two round feet
At the bottom, draw two wide ovals side by side for the feet. Let them sit at the bottom corners of the body.
Step 8: The bushy tail
Next to the body on the right, draw a long curved tail that sweeps up and ends in a jagged point. Add one curved line inside it to show the fluffy fur.
Step 9: Zigzag chest fur
On the chest, draw a short zigzag line that goes up and down like a row of small mountains. This is the fluffy fur on the wolf's chest.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a wolf
- Draw the head wide and give the cheeks little zigzag points. Keep the chin line smooth and gently curved.
- Make the two ears about the same height. Start with the outer shape and then draw the smaller triangle inside each one.
- Draw the arm ovals and the foot ovals the same size on both sides, so the wolf looks balanced and sits up neatly.
