Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Sides of the head
Draw a big curve like the letter U, with both ends pointing up. This makes the sides and chin of the beekeeper's round head, and you leave the top open for the hat.
Step 3: The hat
Draw a wide, flat oval across the top of the head for the brim. Then add a dome on top like half a circle, and a curved line where the dome meets the brim.
Step 4: The veil
Draw a curved line along the bottom edge of the brim. Then draw a long line hanging down from each end of the brim, like a curtain around the head.
Step 5: The body
Under the head, draw a short curved line for the collar. Below it, draw a wide shape like a soft box for the suit, and add a straight line across the middle for a belt.
Step 6: Face and arms
Draw two small dots for eyes and a little curved smile inside the head. Then draw an arm hanging down from each shoulder, ending with a small circle for a hand on the left and a little curl on the right.
Step 7: Zipper and shoes
Draw a straight line down the middle of the suit with a little oval at the top for the zipper pull. Then draw two flat ovals at the bottom for shoes, with two short lines for legs.
Step 8: The honey frame
Next to the right hand, draw a tall rectangle for the honeycomb frame. Add two small six-sided shapes inside it.
Step 9: Buzzing bees
Draw three tiny bees floating around the beekeeper. Each one is a small round body with a little loop on top for a wing.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a beekeeper
- Draw the hat brim as a wide, flat oval first. Then add the dome on top so everything lines up.
- Let the veil lines hang down from the ends of the brim. They can be a little curvy, and it still looks right.
- Keep the three bees small and draw them all the same way, so they look like a team.

Beekeeper fun fact for kids
A honeybee hive can hold tens of thousands of bees that all work together. Beekeepers wear a hat with a veil so the bees stay away from their faces.
Questions about drawing a beekeeper
What shapes do I need to draw a beekeeper?

How do I draw a beekeeper hat with a veil?
Draw a wide oval for the brim and put a dome on top. Then draw a long line hanging down from each end of the brim, down past the face to the shoulders. The lines stand for the net veil.
