How to Draw a Bird Feeder (Easy Step by Step)
A bird feeder is a fun drawing because it is built from simple shapes you already know: two tall lines, a circle, a triangle roof and a big flat oval. Two cute round birds sit on the tray, so you get to practice drawing the same thing twice. By the end you will have a cozy feeder ready for visitors.

Step 1: The seed tube
Draw two tall straight lines side by side in the middle of your paper. Join their tops with a short, gently curved line and leave the bottom open.
Step 2: The pointy roof
Start at a point above the tube and draw two long slanted lines going down and out, like a big hat. Join the bottom ends with a gently curved line that sits over the top of the tube.
Step 3: The hanging loop
Draw a small circle above the tip of the roof. Add a short little line to connect the circle to the roof.
Step 4: The feeding tray
Draw a wide, flat oval at the bottom, so the bottom of the tube rests on it. This is the perch where the birds will sit.
Step 5: Bird head tops
On each side of the tube, draw a curved arch like a rainbow, just above the tray. Make the two arches the same size, like a mirror.
Step 6: Birds and seed details
Finish each bird with a small beak next to the tube, a little tail on the outer side, a dot eye and a curved smile. Then add a curved line on the roof, a short shine line on the tube, and a pattern of seed dots.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bird feeder
- Draw the tube first and the roof second, so the roof can sit neatly over the top of the tube.
- The two birds are the trickiest part. Draw the left arch, then copy its size for the right one so they look like a matching pair.
- Add the seed dots at the end and space them out in rows, leaving a little room between each dot.
