How to draw a snowboard step by step

How to Draw a Snowboard · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: The board outline

Draw a tall, skinny rounded shape like a long pill, leaning a little to the right. Make the top and bottom ends round and let the sides wiggle a little as they go down.

  2. Step 2: The top bar

Near the top of the board, draw a long, thin rounded rectangle that tilts slightly downward to the right. It is like a small slot, with a second line drawn just inside it.

  3. Step 3: A curved band

Right under the top bar, draw a long curved band that goes from one side of the board to the other. Make it bend the same way as the bar above it.

  4. Step 4: The little W

In the middle of the board, draw a small letter W with pointy zigzag lines. Keep it small so there is lots of room around it.

  5. Step 5: Two lower bands

Below the W, near the bottom half of the board, draw two curved bands close together from side to side. Make them bend the same way as the bands near the top.

  6. Step 6: Two stars

Draw one small star near the top of the board and one near the bottom end. Make each one by crossing short lines in the middle, like an asterisk.

  7. Step 7: Snowflakes outside

Draw four snowflakes in the empty space around the board, two on each side. Make each one like an asterisk, with short lines crossing in the middle.

  8. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a snowboard

  • Draw the board shape lightly first, then press harder once the sides look smooth. Make both ends round and about the same width.
  • Draw the bands so they all bend in the same direction. They should follow the curve of the board, not go straight across like a ruler line.
  • For the stars and snowflakes, cross a few short lines in the middle like an asterisk. Try to make all the lines about the same length.

Questions about drawing a snowboard

What shapes do I need to draw a snowboard?

You need a long rounded rectangle, which looks like a pill, for the board. Add curved bands across it, a small zigzag for the W, and crossed lines for the stars and snowflakes.

How do I make my snowboard look more real?

Keep the board long and skinny, and make the bands curve across it so it looks a little round. Press harder on the outline so the board stands out from the snowflakes.

Can I put my own design on the snowboard?

Yes. Swap the W for your own initial, a lightning bolt, or a wavy line, and color the bands however you like.
