Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The ghost body
Start with a big tall dome shape, like a rounded arch. Draw the curved top, then go straight down both sides and finish with a wavy line along the bottom, like little hills.
Step 3: The two feet
Under the wavy bottom, draw two flat ovals side by side. They look like little feet peeking out.
Step 4: The big eyes
On the upper part of the ghost, draw two tall ovals with a gap between them. Keep them the same size so the ghost looks friendly.
Step 5: The smile
Between and below the eyes, draw a curved smile like a little bowl. Start on the left, dip down, and curve back up on the right.
Step 6: The bucket handle
On the right side of the ghost, start a short line that goes out sideways and curves down. This is the handle the ghost holds.
Step 7: The candy bucket
At the end of the handle, draw a small tall rounded shape like an egg with a curved line across the top for the rim. Add two tiny dots and a little smile to give the bucket a face.
Step 8: The bucket sides
Draw a round curve that hugs the bottom and sides of the bucket, like a bowl wrapped around it.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a trick-or-treater
- Start with a light tall oval as a guide for the body, then follow it for the dome and the wavy bottom.
- Make both eyes the same height. Draw one, then measure the same distance across for the other.
- The bucket is the trickiest part. Draw the egg shape first, then wrap the curved line around it.
