  1. Step 1: The flagpole

Draw a tall straight line down the left side of the page. Put a small circle on the very top of the pole.

  2. Step 2: The wavy flag shape

Start at the pole just below the circle and draw a wavy line across the top, going up and down like a gentle hill. Draw the right side straight down, then a matching wavy line along the bottom, and close it up at the pole.

  3. Step 3: Star box and top stripes

Draw a short straight line down from the top wave to mark the edge of the star box. Then add three wavy lines to the right of it, copying the wave of the top edge.

  4. Step 4: The lower stripes

Draw a wavy line from the bottom of the star box all the way across the flag to the right side. Add two more wavy lines below it, spaced evenly.

  5. Step 5: First column of dots

In the star box, draw three little dots in a column along the left side. Space them evenly, one above the other.

  6. Step 6: The rest of the stars

Add a second column of three dots beside the first. Then add a third column of three short slanted dashes, lined up with the dots.

  7. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.
