  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Rounded cone outline

Start at the bottom left and draw a line up to a soft, rounded tip, then back down on the right side. It looks like a tall hill, and the bottom stays open for now.

  3. Step 3: Top stripe line

Draw a gently curved line across the cone, a little below the middle. Start on the left side and end on the right side, curving down a little like a smile.

  4. Step 4: Bottom stripe line

Near the bottom of the cone, draw another curved line across from one side to the other. It is just like the first stripe line, and it sits right at the bottom of the cone.

  5. Step 5: Wide rounded bottom

Under the last stripe line, draw the sides going down and a wide, flat, rounded bottom like a soft bowl. Start at the left end of the stripe line and finish at the right end.

  6. Step 6: Little horns

On each side, draw a small curved horn shape like a tiny leaf or a bent banana. Start where the stripe line meets the side and curve it up and out.

  7. Step 7: Eyes and smile

In the middle of the wide bottom, draw two round dots for eyes. Between and a little below them, add a small curved smile.

  8. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing candy corn

  • Draw the tall cone first and keep the tip rounded, not sharp. A soft tip looks friendlier and is easier to draw.
  • Make both stripe lines curve down a little like gentle smiles. If they are straight, the candy looks flat.
  • Place the eyes low and wide apart in the bottom part, and keep the smile small. The horns are the trickiest part, so draw each one as a curved bean shape that starts at the side of the candy.
