  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

    Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head and beard outline

    Draw a big rounded dome for the top of the head. Let the sides curve down and get a little bumpy, then come in to a point at the bottom for the beard.

  3. Step 3: The headband

    Draw two gently curved lines across the top of the head, one above the other, to make a wide band. The ends of both lines touch the sides of the head.

  4. Step 4: Ears

    Add a small round loop on each side of the head, just below the headband. They look like little handles.

  5. Step 5: Eyes and mustache

    Fill in two round dots for eyes, side by side. Under them, draw a curvy mustache made of two swooshes that meet in the middle.

  6. Step 6: Shoulders and sleeves

    Draw a long curved line down from each side of the beard to make the shoulders and rounded arms. Finish each arm with a small curve at the bottom for the sleeve.

  7. Step 7: Wavy beard edge

    Draw a wavy line across the bottom of the beard, right above the point. Then add a short slanted line going down and to the left from the middle of the wavy line.

  8. Step 8: Belt and robe bottom

    Draw two long lines across the middle for the belt. Then draw the bottom of the robe: a short straight line down on each side, joined by a wide, flat curve along the bottom.

  9. Step 9: The apple

    Draw a small round apple on the left side of the robe with a little dip at the top and a short curved stem. Add a small square flap at its bottom right, and three tiny dots on the apple for a face.

  10. All done!

    Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
