How to draw Psyduck step by step

How to Draw Psyduck · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: Top of the head

Draw a wide dome for the top of the head. Start on the left side, arch up and over, and stop on the right side, curving the ends slightly inward.

  3. Step 3: The round body

Start at the left end of the head and draw a line that curves out and down to a wide, round bottom. Do the same on the right side so the lines meet along the bottom, making a pear-shaped body.

  4. Step 4: Hair tufts

On top of the head, draw two little curled leaf shapes that lean away from each other. Let them meet at one small point right on the head.

  5. Step 5: The flat beak

In the middle of the face, draw a wide, flat beak. Start with a small bump on top, then draw the sides down and close it with a gently curved line along the bottom.

  6. Step 6: Eyes and nostrils

Draw a small round eye on each side of the head, just above the beak. Then add two tiny dots on top of the beak for nostrils.

  7. Step 7: Little hands

On each side of the beak, draw a small bumpy curve for a hand resting by the chin. Then add a short line going down from each hand.

  8. Step 8: Little feet

At the bottom of the body, draw one small flat foot on the left and one on the right. Give each foot a wavy edge with a couple of little toe points.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Psyduck

  • Make the head dome nice and wide. Psyduck's head is almost as large as its body, and that is what makes it look so cute.
  • The beak is the trickiest part. Start with the little bump on top, then draw the bottom curve last so the two ends meet.
  • Keep the two eyes the same size and place them evenly on each side of the beak.
