  1. Step 1: The heart charm

Near the bottom of your page, draw a heart: two round bumps on top that meet in a dip, then two sloping sides going down to a point. Add a tiny ring sitting in the dip at the top, like a loop for hanging.

  2. Step 2: First two beads

Draw a circle just above the left top corner of the heart, touching the heart. Draw a matching circle above the right top corner in the same way.

  3. Step 3: Next beads up

Draw a circle up and outward from each bead you just made, touching it. Try to make each new circle about the same size as the one before.

  4. Step 4: Beads curve upward

Add one more circle on each side, touching the last bead and a little higher up. The beads should start to curve up and around like a ring.

  5. Step 5: Beads on the sides

Draw another circle above each side bead, touching it. The two sides should be nearly straight across from each other.

  6. Step 6: Beads curve inward

Add one more circle on each side, touching the bead below it. The ring now curves inward as it heads toward the top.

  7. Step 7: Top beads

Finish the ring with two circles at the very top, side by side. They should touch each other in the middle and touch the bead on each side, closing the loop.

  8. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bracelet

  • Draw all the circles about the same size. If you make the first few too big, you will run out of room, so keep them small and neat.
  • Let each bead touch the one next to it. That makes it look like they are strung together.
  • For the heart, draw the two bumps first and then join them to the point at the bottom. Draw the tiny loop on top last.

How to color your bracelet drawing

Try a different color for every bead, like a rainbow, and make the heart pink or red. For a creative twist, draw a pattern inside each bead, such as dots, stripes or tiny stars.

Bracelet fun fact for kids

People have worn bracelets for thousands of years. Some of the oldest ones ever found were made from shells, animal teeth and stone beads.

Questions about drawing a bracelet

What shapes do I need to draw a bracelet?

You need circles for the beads and one heart for the charm. A tiny ring for the loop that holds the heart is the only other shape.

How do I make the beads look even?

Work up both sides at the same time, adding one circle on the left and then one on the right. That helps both sides match and keeps the ring round.

How do I make my bracelet look cuter?

Add little patterns, dots or stars inside the beads once the drawing is finished. You can also color the heart a bright shade so it stands out.
