Step 1: Two hanging loops
Draw a small circle near the top left and another near the top right of your page. Make them the same size, like two little rings to hang the banner from.
Step 2: The curved string
Start at the left ring and draw a long smile-shaped curve that dips down in the middle and swings back up to the right ring. This string holds all the flags.
Step 3: The outer flags
Under the string on the far left, draw a long, skinny triangle with the point at the bottom. Draw a matching one on the far right.
Step 4: The middle flag
In the center, where the string is lowest, draw the longest triangle pointing down. Make its top edge sit right under the string.
Step 5: The flags in between
Fill the gaps with two more triangles, one between the left and middle flags and one between the middle and right flags. Their top sides touch the string and their points aim down.
Step 6: Stars and circles
Draw a little five-pointed star inside the left, middle, and right flags. Then add a small ring inside each of the two flags in between.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a party banner
- Draw the string first and let it dip low in the middle. Then every flag has a clear place to hang.
- Make the middle flag the longest and the outer ones a bit shorter. The banner will look like it is really hanging.
- Draw stars with a light pencil first. Make five dots in a circle and connect every other dot.
