Step 1: Head top and ears
Start at the lower left and draw a curved line up the side of the head, over a pointy triangle ear, with a small dip in the middle, then over the second ear and down the right side. Leave the bottom of the head open for now.
Step 2: Left cheek and whiskers
Draw a small curly cat mouth in the middle of the face. Then draw two short whisker lines on the left side, and a curved line from the left side of the head down and across to start the chin.
Step 3: Round eyes
Draw two circles low on the face, one on each side of the mouth, with space between them. Fill them in solid so your kitten looks wide-eyed.
Step 4: Right cheek and capes
Draw two short whisker lines on the right side, then curve the right cheek down and across to finish the chin. Under the chin on each side, draw a tall flared shape like a cape flap and fill it in solid.
Step 5: Body and feet
Starting at the bottom of one cape flap, draw a wide curve across the bottom to the other flap to make the round body. Add two short lines going up from the middle of that curve to separate the two feet.
Step 6: Collar tag
Just under the chin, between the two capes, draw a small shape like a rounded tag with a flat top. Fill it in solid.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a vampire kitten
- Draw the head top first and make it wide. A wide head is what makes the kitten look cute, so do not squeeze it into a tall shape.
- Draw the two ears the same size. Each one goes up to a point, so check that they look like a matching pair.
- For the capes, make both flaps flare out the same amount so the kitten looks balanced.

Adult cats sleep about 12 to 16 hours a day, which is one reason a kitten that only comes out at night is not so far-fetched.
