Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and ear
Start at the left side of the neck and draw one tall rounded ear going up and over. Then curve down around the big round head, across the top right and around the cheek. Leave the bottom of the head open.
Step 3: The body
Continue below the head to draw the chubby body. Curve down the left side, add two little bumps for the feet along the flat bottom, and curve up the right side to meet the cheek.
Step 4: The party hat
On the top right of the head, draw two straight lines that lean toward each other. They make a tall pointed hat, and the head line already forms its bottom.
Step 5: Pom-pom and tail
Draw a small circle on the point of the hat for the pom-pom. Then draw a little curved C shape on the right side of the body for the fluffy tail.
Step 6: The cupcake cup
In the middle of the tummy, draw a small cup shape that is wide at the top and a little narrower at the bottom, like a cupcake wrapper.
Step 7: The candle
Above the cup, draw a tiny tall rounded shape, like an upside-down U, for the candle.
Step 8: Frosting, arms and smile
Draw a wavy puffy line across the top of the cup for the frosting. Add a curved arm on each side reaching in to hold the cupcake, and a tiny smile in the middle of the face.
Step 9: The eyes
Color in two round dots for the eyes, set wide apart on the face, just above the smile.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
