How to Draw a Soap Bubble (Easy Step by Step)
A soap bubble is one of the easiest and happiest things to draw, because it starts with just a circle. This one has a smiling face, two small bubbles floating nearby, and a few curved lines that make each bubble look shiny. You only need circles, dots, and little curves.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The big bubble
Draw a big circle in the middle of your page. Go slowly so the line curves all the way around and meets where it started.
Step 3: The shiny curve
Inside the top left of the big bubble, draw a short curved line that follows the edge, like a little rainbow. It shows where the light is shining.
Step 4: Two round eyes
Near the lower middle of the bubble, draw two small round dots side by side, level with each other. Fill them in so they look nice and dark.
Step 5: A big smile
Below the eyes, draw a short curved line that looks like a bowl. Start on the left, dip down in the middle, and swoop back up on the right.
Step 6: The top small bubble
On the upper right, draw a smaller circle that floats near the big bubble. Leave a little space between them so they do not touch.
Step 7: The tiny bubble
On the lower right, draw another small circle. Make it a bit smaller than the first small bubble so it looks far away.
Step 8: Little shines
Inside each small bubble, near the top left, draw a tiny curved line. These little shines make the bubbles look glossy.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a soap bubble
- Draw the big circle slowly with one smooth motion. If it comes out a little wobbly, that is fine, because real bubbles wobble too.
- Keep the shiny curve inside the big bubble and follow the edge, so it looks like light bouncing off the surface.
- Make the two eyes the same size and put them level with each other, so the smile looks friendly and balanced.

How to color your soap bubble drawing
Color the bubbles in soft light blue, pink, and purple, leaving the shiny curves white. For a creative twist, paint a rainbow swirl inside each bubble with watercolors.
Soap bubble fun fact for kids
A soap bubble is round because the thin soap skin pulls itself tight, and a sphere is the shape that holds the air inside with the least skin.
