Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head and body outline
Draw one big outline that looks like a peanut: a round head on top and a wider, chubby body below. Pinch the line in a little on each side where they meet, give the bottom two soft bumps, and leave a gap across the top of the head.
Step 3: The first ear
On the left side of the top of the head, draw a tall, skinny loop for an ear. Start at the left edge of the head, go up and around the rounded tip, and come back down toward the middle of the head.
Step 4: The second ear
Draw another tall, skinny loop right next to the first ear. Start at the bottom of the first ear, go up and around a rounded tip, and come down to the right side of the head.
Step 5: The floppy ear
On the right side of the head, draw a long curved loop that sticks out and hangs down, like a leaf. Start near the top right of the head, curve out and around, and tuck the end back against the side of the body.
Step 6: The eyes
Draw two round dots for eyes, side by side in the middle of the face. Fill them in and keep them the same size.
Step 7: The nose and mouth
Halfway between the eyes and a little lower, draw one tiny, short wavy line for the nose and mouth.
Step 8: The little paws
On the tummy, draw two short curved lines that look like little arches, one on each side. Make them match, with the ends pointing down, so the bunny looks like it is holding its paws.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a lop-eared bunny
- Start with the head and body outline and keep your pencil light. The pinch where the head meets the body is the trickiest part, so take your time.
- Make the two standing ears about the same height, and let them touch near the bottom so they look like a pair.
- Draw the floppy ear on the right side of the head. Start near the top, curve it out and down, and tuck the end back against the body so it looks like it is hanging.

Lop-eared bunny fun fact for kids
The word "lop" means to hang down loosely, and that is how lop-eared rabbits got their name. Their ears fold down beside their cheeks instead of standing up.
