How to Draw the Burj Khalifa Tower · tinyhandscreate.com
Step 1: Left side of the tower
Start with a small curve that bends inward at the top, like the neck of a vase. Then draw a long, slightly slanted line down and a little outward toward the bottom.
Step 2: Right side of the tower
Draw the matching line on the right side, bending in at the top and sliding down and out. Make it a mirror of the left side so the tower looks even.
Step 3: The wide base
Across the bottom, draw a long rounded rectangle, like a pill lying on its side. The two tower lines end on its top edge.
Step 4: The top deck
Draw a short straight line across the top to join the two tower sides. This makes the flat rim of a bowl that the spire will sit on.
Step 5: Left side of the spire
Start on the left part of the deck and draw a small curved bump going up, like the side of a dome. Then run a thin line up and a little toward the center, ending in a small curl.
Step 6: Right side and needle
Draw the other side of the dome on the right, then a thin line leaning up to meet the left one. Finish with a short straight needle poking up from the top.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing the Burj Khalifa tower
- Draw the two long sides of the tower first and keep them leaning the same amount, so the tower looks balanced.
- The dome and spire are the trickiest part. Draw the small curved bump first, then add the thin lines going up.
- Use a ruler or the edge of a book for the long straight lines if they wobble, then go over them freehand.

Questions about drawing the Burj Khalifa tower
What shapes do I need to draw the Burj Khalifa?
You need two long slanted lines, a rounded rectangle for the base, a straight line for the deck, a small curved dome, and a thin pointed spire with a needle on top.
How do I make my tower look really tall?
Keep the tower narrow and the spire long, and leave plenty of empty space above it. A wide base also makes the rest look taller by comparison.
How do I keep both sides of the tower even?
Draw one side, then copy it on the other side at the same height and slant. Checking that the two top ends line up with the deck helps too.
