Step 1: Hair, face and chin
Draw a swoopy hair shape with a round ear peeking out, and fill it in with black. Add two dot eyes and a small smile, then a little curve below for the chin.
Step 2: The face outline
Start at the side of the hair and draw a curved line down the cheek and along the bottom of the face. End it at the chin curve to close the face.
Step 3: The raised arm
Next to the cheek, draw a short line going up to a small round fist with a tiny curl for the thumb. Then draw a long curvy line from the fist down and to the left to make the outside of her arm.
Step 4: The other arm
Under the chin, start a curved line that bends down and around into a round hook for her bent arm and hand. Add a short little line beside the hand for the wrist.
Step 5: Dress side and leg
Start under the raised arm and draw a long curve down along the right side of her dress. Keep going down to make a round foot at the bottom, then bring a short line back up for the other side of her leg.
Step 6: The flowing cape
Start at her neck and draw a wavy line out to the left, ending in a pointy corner. Sweep the bottom edge back toward the dress and finish it with a short line across to the leg, like the hem of a cape blowing in the wind.
Step 7: The bent leg
Under the cape, draw a rounded bean shape for her bent leg and foot. Let both ends touch the bottom edge of the cape.
Step 8: The hero heart
On the middle of her dress, draw a heart with two bumps on top and a point at the bottom. Fill it in solid black.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a superhero mom
- Draw the hair and face first, then leave a little space to the right of the cheek so the raised arm has a clear spot to start.
- The cape is the trickiest part. Draw it in one slow, wavy line and think of a flag blowing in the wind.
- Fill the hair and the heart with solid black last, so you do not smudge the lines around them.
