Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Body top line
Draw a long, gentle curve like a wide smile, starting low on the left and sweeping across to the right, where it curves up at the end. Add a few short dashes above it on the left to mark where the head will go.
Step 3: Tail and belly
At the left end of your line, draw a fish tail with two pointed tips, like a letter V on its side. Then draw a big curve under the body from the tail around to the right end to make the round belly.
Step 4: Fins
Draw a curved arch on top, like a little hill, for the shark's back fin. Then add a small rounded fin on the right side of the body and a short curved line on the left side of the body for the other flipper.
Step 5: Two antlers
Draw an antler on each side above the body. Start each one with a curved stem going up, then split the top into two rounded prongs, like a little fork.
Step 6: Two round eyes
Draw two small round dots in the middle of the face area, side by side with a gap between them. Color them in so they are solid.
Step 7: The happy mouth
Between the eyes and a little lower, draw a tiny wavy line, like a small sideways letter W. This makes a cute smile.
Step 8: Jingle bell
On the front of the body, below the face, draw a small circle for the bell. Add a short curved line across the middle and two tiny lines at the top.
Step 9: Big round head
Draw one big rounded curve for the head. Start at the left side of the body, curve up and over the top between the antlers, and come down on the right to close the head.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a shark dressed as a reindeer
- Draw the long body line first and let it curve nicely. The tail and belly attach to it, so it is worth a second try if it looks flat.
- The antlers are the trickiest part. Draw the curved stem first, then add the two prongs on top, and let the lines wobble a little.
- Save the big round head for last. Draw it so it reaches from the body up to the antlers and looks like it wraps around the face.

Shark dressed as a reindeer fun fact for kids
Sharks do not have bones. Their skeletons are made of cartilage, the same bendy material that is in your ears and nose.
Questions about drawing a shark dressed as a reindeer
What shapes do I need to draw a shark reindeer?
You need a long curved line for the body, a fish tail, a small circle for the bell, a few small curved fins, and a big round curve for the head. The antlers are two stems with forked tops.
How do I make my shark reindeer look cuter?
Make the eyes round and solid and keep the mouth small and low on the face. A big round head also makes it look extra sweet.
Why is there a fin on top of the head?
The fin is what tells everyone this is a shark under the reindeer costume. Without it, the drawing would just look like a reindeer.
