Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The candy circle
Draw a big round circle near the top of your page. This is the candy part of the lollipop, so leave room underneath for the stick.
Step 3: The stick
Below the circle, leave a small gap and draw two short straight lines going down, side by side. Join their bottoms with a small curve to make a rounded stick.
Step 4: The swirl
Start in the middle of the circle with a tiny curl. Keep circling outward in a spiral, leaving a little space between each loop, and stop before you touch the edge.
Step 5: Bow loops
On each side of the stick, draw a loop shaped like a rounded leaf or a teardrop. The pointy ends should almost touch the stick, like the two wings of a bow.
Step 6: Knot and ribbon tails
Draw two short lines to join the stick to the bottom of the circle, then add a small square knot where the bow meets the stick. Finish with two curvy lines sliding down and outward from the knot for the ribbon tails.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a lollipop
- Draw the circle lightly first. If it comes out wobbly, just trace over the best parts.
- For the swirl, start at the center and spiral outward. It is much easier than starting at the outside and going in.
- Keep the space between swirl lines about the same width, so the candy looks neat and even.
