Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Body sides
Near the bottom of the page, draw two curved lines that look like the left and right sides of a big round belly. Leave the top and the middle open for now.
Step 3: Head, neck and scarf
Draw the wobbly sides of a round head above the body, then two straight lines going down for the neck. Add two tiny eyes and a little smile, and draw a short striped scarf end on the right side of the neck.
Step 4: Top of head and chin
Draw a curved line across the top of the head to close it. Then draw a curved line around the lower face for the snout, with a small curve under the chin.
Step 5: Ears and horn
Draw a leaf shape sticking out from each side of the head for the ears. Add a small ring above the head, sitting on the little stick.
Step 6: Belly, legs and tail
Close the bottom of the belly with a curved line and add two tall rounded rectangles under it for legs. On the right, draw a curved tail that ends in a little oval tuft.
Step 7: Hat and scarf
Draw a puffy hat with a stripe and a small ball on top, tilted at the top of the head. Then draw a curved band across the neck and finish the long scarf end hanging down the front.
Step 8: Giraffe spots
Finish with spots on the body: one round ring in the middle and a few small rounded patches along the bottom of the belly.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Christmas giraffe
- Draw the neck lines straight and close together, so the head sits right on top and the scarf has a place to wrap around.
- The scarf end is the trickiest part. Draw its two long sides first, then add the little stripes across, like rungs on a ladder.
- Make the spots different sizes and keep them on the belly, so the body looks full and friendly.
