How to Draw a Baby Shark (Easy Step by Step)
A baby shark is one of the friendliest drawings you can make, because it is mostly one big circle with a smile. You will use a circle, a few triangles, leaf shapes and a zigzag line to build the whole thing. The tiny teeth and curved gill lines make it look cute instead of scary.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The round body
Start with a big, round circle for the shark's body. Draw it nice and wide, because the face will fit inside.
Step 3: The tall back fin
On top of the body, draw a pointy fin like a leaning triangle with one curved side. Start the lines on the circle and meet at a point.
Step 4: Side fins
Draw a leaf shape on the left side and another on the right side of the body. Each one starts on the circle and curves out to a point.
Step 5: The little tail
At the bottom right of the circle, draw a small curved triangle that points down and to the right. This is the baby shark's tail peeking out.
Step 6: First eye
Draw one small round dot on the left side of the face, a little above the middle. This is your shark's first eye.
Step 7: The big smile
Draw a wide, curved smile like a bowl in the middle of the body. Add a little flick at each end that points up and out.
Step 8: Zigzag teeth
Along the top of the smile, draw a zigzag line that goes up and down like a row of tiny mountains. Start and end at the smile's two ends.
Step 9: Second eye and gills
Draw another small round dot on the right side, at the same height as the first eye. Then add three short curved lines side by side just to its right, bending the same way like parentheses.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a baby shark
- Draw the body circle lightly first and take your time. Every other part attaches to it, so a smooth round shape makes the rest easier.
- The zigzag teeth are the trickiest part. Make small dots in a row first, then connect them with up-and-down lines of the same size.
- Keep the two side fins about the same size and place them at the same height so your shark looks balanced. Put the second eye at the same height as the first.
