How to Draw a Frying Pan (Easy Step by Step)
A frying pan with breakfast sizzling inside is a cozy thing to draw. It is built from ovals, a long rounded rectangle for the handle, a few wobbly shapes for the egg and bacon, and some squiggles for steam. A steady oval is the best place to start.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The pan edge
Draw a big, slightly tilted oval. This is the outside edge of the pan, so make it nice and wide.
Step 3: The inner oval
Inside the first oval, draw a second oval that follows the same shape. Leave a small gap all the way around, like a ring.
Step 4: The long handle
Start at the lower right of the pan and draw two straight lines going down and to the right. Close the end with a rounded tip, like a long finger.
Step 5: The egg white
In the upper left of the pan, draw a wobbly cloud shape with soft bumps. It should look a bit like a puddle.
Step 6: The yolk
Draw a small circle in the middle of the egg white. Keep it round and neat, like a sun.
Step 7: Two bacon strips
Draw one tall, wavy strip beside the egg and one wavy strip lying sideways below it. Make each one a long rounded rectangle with wiggly edges.
Step 8: Rising steam
Above the pan, draw three short squiggly lines, like the letter S stretched out. Space them evenly so the pan looks hot.
Step 9: The handle hole
Near the end of the handle, draw a tiny circle with a dot inside it. This is the hole for hanging the pan.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a frying pan
- Draw the outer oval first and the inner oval second. Keep the same gap all the way around so the pan rim looks even.
- Start the handle where it touches the pan, then draw two lines that stay side by side. Check that they do not drift closer together as they go.
- Make the egg white a bumpy cloud with a few rounded lumps. It does not need to be perfect, since real eggs are never perfectly shaped.

How to color your frying pan drawing
Try a dark gray pan with a bright yellow yolk, white egg, and pinkish red bacon with brown edges. For a twist, color the steam in a rainbow of soft colors.
Frying pan fun fact for kids
A sunny-side up egg has a yolk that stays round and yellow in the middle, while the white spreads out around it as it cooks. The white turns from clear to solid white when it gets hot.
Questions about drawing a frying pan
What shapes do I need to draw a frying pan?
You need two ovals for the pan, a long rounded rectangle for the handle, and a small circle for the hanging hole. The egg and bacon are just wobbly versions of a cloud and a rectangle.
How do I draw a good oval?
Draw it lightly first and turn your paper as you go, so your hand moves in a smooth curve. If it looks lopsided, draw a second try over it and keep the nicer lines.
How do I make the bacon look wavy?
Draw a long rectangle first, then bend the top and bottom edges into gentle ripples. Make the ripples line up so both edges wiggle together.
