Step 1: Mailbox and door
Draw a big rounded shape like a loaf of bread, with a flat bottom and a round right end. Then draw a small tall box with slightly slanted sides tucked under the right end for the door.
Step 2: The post
Draw two straight lines going down from the bottom of the mailbox, close together. Close them off at the bottom with a short flat line to make a tall skinny rectangle.
Step 3: The flag
Start at the top left of the mailbox and draw a straight pole going up. Draw a rectangle at the top of the pole for the flag.
Step 4: Three envelopes
Draw three tilted rectangles stacked down the page to the right of the mailbox, and tip each one a little differently. On the bottom envelope, also draw a V from its two top corners down to the middle, with a little loop where the lines meet.
Step 5: Envelope flaps
On the top two envelopes, draw a V from the two top corners that points down to the middle. Add a little loop where the two lines meet, just like the bottom envelope.
Step 6: Hearts and door knob
Draw a big heart in the middle of the mailbox and a small heart on the flag. Finish with a tiny dot on the door for a knob.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Valentine mailbox
- Draw the mailbox first and lightly, so the door and post have a clear place to fit under it.
- The envelopes are tilted, so tip each rectangle a different way and they will look like they are drifting along.
- Draw hearts by making two small bumps side by side, then bring the sides down to one point at the bottom.
