How to Draw a Goose (Easy Step by Step)
A goose is a friendly bird to draw because it is built from a few easy shapes: a rounded body, a long curvy neck, a round head with a pointy beak, and two triangle feet. You can finish this one in seven simple steps. It is a great way to practice curved lines and to learn how shapes fit together.

Step 1: Body and front neck
Start at the back of the body and draw a curve that slopes down to a point on the left, then sweeps along the bottom and up the right side. Keep going up in a wavy line for the front of the neck, and end with a little flick to the right where the beak will go.
Step 2: Head, beak and back neck
Draw a round head on top of the neck line, then add a small pointy beak sticking out to the right. Finish with a wavy line from the back of the head down to the top of the body.
Step 3: The wing
In the middle of the body, draw a leaf-shaped oval with its pointy end facing the tail. It looks like a lying-down teardrop.
Step 4: Wing feather line
Inside the wing, add one short curved line to show the feathers. Keep it gentle, like a little smile.
Step 5: The eye
Near the front of the head, above the beak, draw one small round dot for the eye.
Step 6: Two legs
Under the belly, draw two short straight lines going down for the legs. Join their bottoms with a little V shape so they come together in a point.
Step 7: Webbed feet
At the bottom of the legs, draw a flat triangle on each side for the webbed feet. Make the bottom lines straight so the goose stands steady.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a goose
- The neck is the trickiest part. Draw the two long lines so they curve the same way, like a gentle letter S, and keep the space between them about the same all the way up.
- Draw the body lightly at first. If the neck starts from the front of the body, the goose will look balanced instead of tipping over.
- Make the two triangle feet the same size and put them on the same flat line, so your goose looks like it is standing on the ground.
