Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The round body
Draw a big, round circle in the middle of your page. This is Meta Knight's whole round body and head in one.
Step 3: The mask
Inside the circle, near the top, draw a wide mask shaped like a sleepy bean. Make the bottom dip up in the middle, then fill it in dark and leave two small round circles for the eyes.
Step 4: Two little feet
At the bottom of the circle, draw two small boots. Each one goes down a short way from the circle and curves out like a little shoe.
Step 5: The wing
On the right side, draw a wavy wing that starts at the circle and bumps out like a soft cloud. Then bring the line back to the circle a little lower down.
Step 6: The cape
Under the wing, draw a pointy triangle that hangs down. Start at the circle, go down and out to a point, then curve back along the bottom to the circle.
Step 7: The little sword
On the left, draw a short, thin sword with a round knob at the top. Add a small crossbar near the bottom, right next to the circle.
Step 8: The little hand
Under the crossbar, draw a small curved line that makes a tiny hand holding the sword. Let it start below the crossbar and finish at the circle.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Meta Knight from Kirby
- Draw the big circle lightly first so you can fix it. Try tracing around a bowl or a lid for a perfectly round shape.
- The mask is the trickiest part. Draw a wide bean shape and push the bottom edge up in the middle, then fill it in dark and leave two small circles for the eyes.
- Keep the feet small and place them so they tuck under the circle. Make both boots about the same size so he stands steady.
