How to draw Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch step by step
How to Draw Cindy Lou Who From The Grinch · tinyhandscreate.com
Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Top of the head
Draw a curved line like a rainbow for the top of the head. Start low on the left, curve up and over, and stop low on the right, leaving the bottom open for now.
Step 3: Two hair buns
Draw a fluffy, bumpy cloud shape on each side of the top of the head. Start each one where the head line is, curve up and around, and come back to meet the head.
Step 4: Ears and chin
At the bottom ends of the head line, draw a small round ear on each side. Then draw one wide curved line for the cheeks and chin that joins the two ears.
Step 5: Bangs and hair swirls
Draw a wavy line across the forehead in two pieces for the bangs, with a small peak in the middle. Then add a short curved swoosh inside each bun that ends with a tiny fork where it touches the head.
Step 6: Eyes and mouth
Draw two solid round dots for eyes, side by side in the middle of the face. Then draw a small open mouth between and below them, shaped like a little cup.
Step 7: The dress
Under the chin, draw a short curved neckline. Then draw a dress that flares out like a bell, with a flat wavy line along the bottom.
Step 8: Arms
Draw a small arm on each side of the dress. Start at the shoulder, slope down and out, and finish with a rounded mitten shape for the hand.
Step 9: Little feet
Under the bottom edge of the dress, draw two small U shapes side by side for the feet.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch
- Draw the curved top of the head lightly first, so there is room for a bun on each side.
- The bun edges are bumpy like clouds. Draw them as three or four small curves in a row instead of one wobbly line.
- Place the eyes at the same height and leave a space about as wide as one eye between them, so the face looks balanced.

Questions about drawing Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch
What shapes do I need to draw Cindy Lou Who?
You need a curved line for the top of the head, two cloud-shaped puffs for the buns, two small round ears, and a bell shape for the dress. The feet are tiny U shapes.
How do I make my Cindy Lou Who look cuter?
Keep the eyes as simple dots with a little space between them, and make the mouth small and open. Big, fluffy buns make her even sweeter.
Why do the buns look uneven?
Try sketching two light circles first to mark where each bun goes, then add the bumpy cloud edge on top. Checking that both sit at the same height helps a lot.
