How to draw Seedot step by step

How to Draw Seedot · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: The round body

Draw a big rounded body shape, like an egg with the top left open. Start at one top side, curve down around the bottom, and finish at the other top side.

  3. Step 3: The acorn cap

Draw a wide, flat oval on top of the body, like a beret. It sticks out a little past the body on both sides, and its bottom curve sits across the open top of the body.

  4. Step 4: The stem

Draw a short bent stick sticking up from the top of the cap. Let it curve over a little at the tip.

  5. Step 5: Little side arms

Add a small teardrop shape on each side of the body, low down. Tuck each one against the body so it looks like a tiny arm.

  6. Step 6: Tiny feet

At the bottom, draw two very small curved loops that peek out from under the body, one on the left and one on the right.

  7. Step 7: Big round eyes

Draw two round dots, side by side, in the middle of the face. Fill them in completely.

  8. Step 8: The tiny mouth

Between the eyes and a little lower, draw a small wiggly line like a tiny curvy smile.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Seedot

  • Draw the body first, leaving the top open, then draw the cap over the top so the cap sits right where the body ends.
  • Make the cap wider than the body, so it sticks out a little on both sides like a hat brim.
  • Draw the mouth very small and close to the eyes. A tiny wiggle is cuter than a big smile.

Try a warm brown for the cap and a soft tan or yellow-brown for the body, with a green stem. Leave the eyes dark, or color the little arms and feet the same as the body.

Seedot fun fact for kids

Acorns are the seeds of oak trees, and a big oak tree grows from a single acorn.

Questions about drawing Seedot

What shapes do I need to draw Seedot?

You need a rounded egg shape for the body, a flat oval for the cap, a short bent stick for the stem, two circles for the eyes, and small teardrop shapes for the arms and feet.

How do I make my Seedot look cuter?

Keep the eyes big and round, and place the mouth small and low between them. Round, chubby body lines also make it look softer.

Why does the cap look like it sits on the head?

Draw the body first and the cap after, so the cap sits across the open top of the body. That makes the cap look like it is in front.
