How to Draw a Persian Kitten (Easy Step by Step)
A Persian kitten is fun to draw because it is mostly soft, round shapes with a face that looks sweet right away. This one is built from a round head with pointy ears, a fluffy body, two dot eyes, and a curly tail. It sits on a cozy cushion, so it is a good first cat for young artists.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Pointy ears
Near the top of the round guide shape, draw two pointy ears with a gentle dip between them. Each ear starts at the edge of the head, rises to a rounded point, and curves back toward the middle.
Step 3: Cheeks and body
Start under one ear and draw a curved line down the side, bulging out for a fluffy cheek, then narrowing in for the body. Curve it around the bottom and stop before the middle, then do the same on the other side.
Step 4: Toes and paws
At the bottom of the body, draw a few short lines slanting up from the bottom edge to show the toes. Add a small curve between the middle ones so the paws look like soft bumps.
Step 5: Round eyes
Draw two small round dots on the face, with a space between them. Make them the same size and color them in.
Step 6: Tiny nose and mouth
Between the eyes, draw one very small wiggly line for the nose and mouth. Keep it tiny so the face stays sweet.
Step 7: Curly tail
On the right side, near the bottom of the body, draw a short line that rises and curls over at the top like a little hook. Add a short line below it to join the tail to the body.
Step 8: Cozy cushion
Draw a big, flat oval under the kitten for a cushion. Start at the left side of the body, swing down and around below the paws, and end on the right side near the tail.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Persian kitten
- Start with the round guide shape for the head and make it wide. A big head is what makes the kitten look little and cute.
- Make the two eyes the same size and keep them far apart. Looking at both while you draw helps them match.
- Keep the nose and mouth very small. A tiny squiggle between the eyes is all the face needs.
- The tail is the trickiest part. Draw the little hook first, then add the short line below it to join it to the body.
