How to draw an axolotl with a lollipop step by step
How to Draw an Axolotl with a Lollipop · tinyhandscreate.com
Step 1: Bottom of the head
Draw a gently curved line like a shallow smile for the bottom of the head. Near the right end, flick the line up into a little curl.
Step 2: The body
Start at the right end of the head line and draw a curve down and around to make the side of the body. Add a flat bottom with two small rounded feet, then draw a short line down on the left for the other side of the body.
Step 3: Big top frills
Draw two big, bumpy frills that stick out from the top of the head like wings. Connect them with a gentle curve across the top of the head, then add a few bumps along each outer edge.
Step 4: Small side frills
On the right side of the face, draw a zigzag of two or three little spikes. On the left side, draw a short curved line with two tiny spikes, like a small comb.
Step 5: Eyes and smile
Draw two small filled-in ovals for eyes, wide apart, and leave a tiny white dot in each. Between them, draw a little wavy smile like a small letter w.
Step 6: The lollipop
On the left, draw a big circle for the candy. Add a short, wiggly stick hanging down from the bottom of the circle.
Step 7: Arm, hand and tail
Draw a short curved line from the candy to the stick for the hand holding it, then a small hook shape on the belly for the arm. Finish with a long curved tail that starts at the bottom right of the body and swings up and out.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing an axolotl with a lollipop
- Start with the curved head line and the rounded body, and draw them lightly. The frills and lollipop are easier to place once those are down.
- The big frills are the trickiest part. Draw one smooth curve up and over, then add the bumps along the edge one at a time.
- Draw the lollipop circle so it overlaps the side of the face a little. That makes it look like the axolotl is really holding it.
