Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head outline and ears
Follow the dotted oval to draw a flat line across the top of the head. Then draw the sides curving down, with a floppy ear sticking out on each side.
Step 3: Two puffy horns
On top of the head, draw two small puffy horns, one on the left and one on the right. Make each one a rounded bumpy loop that sits on the head.
Step 4: Body sides
Under the head, draw two long curved lines for the sides of the body. Start each one just below the cheek and curve it down toward the bottom.
Step 5: Eyes and smile
Fill in two round dots for eyes, low and wide apart. Between them, draw a tiny wavy line for a happy little mouth.
Step 6: The flute shape
Draw the top edge of a long flute starting near the mouth and tilting out to the left. Then draw its lower edge a little below, so the two lines make a long skinny tube.
Step 7: Hands, holes and flute end
Close the left end of the flute with a small oval. Add a row of little dots for finger holes, draw a hand holding the flute near the mouth, and draw a curved arm line going down across the tummy.
Step 8: Tail and hooves
Draw a small curved tail on the right side of the body. At the bottom, fill in a flat rounded hoof under each side of the body, with a little bump of body line between them.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a friendly satyr
- Draw the horns after the head outline so you can see exactly where they sit. Keep them small and puffy, and make both about the same size.
- The flute is the trickiest part because it crosses the body. Draw it as one long tilted tube first, then add the hand and the dots for finger holes.
- Place the eyes low on the face and wide apart, with the tiny mouth right in the middle. That is what makes the face look cute.
