Step 1: Left side bracket
Draw a tall line going down on the left, then curve the top and the bottom to the right, like a big rounded bracket shape. Leave the right side open.
Step 2: Rest of the sections
Continue the curved top and bottom lines to the right. Then draw straight lines down to make tall sections side by side, seven in all, sharing the lines between them. Finish with a long line down the right edge.
Step 3: Little pipe on the left
Near the top of the left side, draw a tiny sideways rectangle that sticks out to the left, like a little pipe.
Step 4: Valve on the right
Near the top of the right side, draw a small rounded knob that sticks out to the right. Think of a tiny handle.
Step 5: Small drain tab
At the bottom right, draw a tiny rounded tab that hangs down below the last section, like a little foot.
Step 6: Heat squiggles
Above the radiator, draw three short wavy lines floating up to show heat. Add one tiny dot at the left.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a radiator
- Draw the left bracket first, then copy its height for the other sections so the tops and bottoms line up.
- The lines between the sections are shared, so draw one line instead of two to keep it neat.
- Make the heat squiggles short and loose. Let each one wiggle a little as it goes up.

How to color your radiator drawing
Try warm reds and oranges for the heat lines and a soft white or gray for the radiator. For a creative twist, color each section a different shade of the rainbow.
Radiator fun fact for kids
Many radiators heat a room using hot water that flows through them, and the metal warms the air around it. Warm air rises, which is why the wavy heat lines go up.
