How to draw a tablet step by step

Step 1: The tablet body
Draw a big rounded square for the outside of the tablet. Make the corners nice and curvy, like a soft pillow.
Step 2: The screen
Inside the body, draw a smaller rounded square for the screen. Leave a bit more space at the bottom for the button.
Step 3: The stand
Under the tablet, draw a short trapezoid that is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. The two slanted sides start at the bottom edge of the tablet, and a flat line closes the bottom.
Step 4: The home button
Below the screen, near the bottom of the tablet, draw a tiny circle in the middle. Add a smaller dot inside it to make a ring.
Step 5: Cat head and ears
On the screen, draw a round head shape with a flat top missing. Start at the left, curve down and around the bottom, and come up on the right. Finish each side with a pointy ear that curls inward.
Step 6: Top of the head
Draw a gently curved line across the top of the head between the two ears. It joins the ears and closes the head.
Step 7: Cat face
Draw two round dots for eyes. Then add a short line for the nose and a smiling curve underneath, like a tiny letter w.
Step 8: The stylus pen
Next to the tablet, draw a long, slanted rectangle with a pointy tip at the bottom. Round off the top end.
Step 9: Pen band
Near the top of the pen, draw a short line straight across to make a band.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a tablet
- Draw the outer rounded square first, then the screen inside it. Keep the gap the same on the left, right, and top so the frame looks even.
- The cat ears are the trickiest part. Draw the head from the left ear around the bottom to the right ear, then close the top with a curved line.
- Draw the stylus slanted, not straight up. Start with two long lines that lean the same way, then close the tip.

How to color your tablet drawing
Try a sky blue frame, a light gray screen, and an orange cat. For a creative twist, color the stylus like a rainbow pencil.
Tablet fun fact for kids
The word "tablet" comes from an old word for a small flat slab used for writing, like the clay and wax tablets people wrote on thousands of years ago.
