Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Top of the face
Draw a curved line like an upside-down bowl in the upper middle of your paper. Start on the left side, curve up and over the top, and stop on the right side. Leave the bottom open for now.
Step 3: Fluffy head wool
Draw a wavy line of little bumps that goes over the top of the face and down both sides, like a puffy cloud. Start on the left, go up and across, and end on the right.
Step 4: Floppy ears
On each side of the head, draw a long loop that hangs down, like a teardrop. Start each ear under the wool, curve it down and out, then bring it back up toward the face.
Step 5: Face details
Draw two small dots for eyes. Add a rounded nose in the middle with a tiny wiggly smile below it. Then finish the bottom of the face with a curved line from one ear to the other, and make a tiny short line below the chin.
Step 6: The tummy
Under the head, draw a rounded oval for the sheep's tummy. It should be a little wider than it is tall, and its top should touch the tiny line below the chin.
Step 7: Fluffy body wool
Draw a bumpy cloud line around the top and sides of the tummy, starting near the chin and curving down both sides. Stop near the bottom on each side, where the feet will go.
Step 8: Little feet
At the bottom of the tummy, draw two small rounded feet that peek out side by side. Add a little curl between them where they meet.
Step 9: A little bell
Inside the tummy, draw a small bell. Start with a rounded dome at the top, flare the sides out toward the bottom, and close it with a short curved line at the base.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Christmas sheep
- Draw the wavy wool slowly, with a bump, then a small dip, then another bump. Think of drawing a row of tiny clouds.
- Keep the face oval wide and leave room around it. The wool needs space to puff out on the top and sides.
- For the bell, start with the rounded top and then flare the sides out. Keep it small so it fits inside the tummy.
