Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The bundle outline
Draw a wide rectangle for the stack of bills, but leave a gap in the top and bottom lines in the middle. Keep the edges a little wobbly, like paper.
Step 3: The paper band
Draw a tall rectangle across the middle of the stack, filling the gap you left. It is like a belt wrapped around the bills, and it sticks out a little above the top edge.
Step 4: The small circle
Draw a small circle on the left half of the band. Let it touch the left edge of the band, like a round label.
Step 5: Left bill frame
On the left bill, start at the band and draw a line going left. Bend down with a scooped corner, draw a short straight side, then scoop the bottom corner and come back to the band.
Step 6: Right bill frame
Do the same on the right bill: start at the band, draw a line going right, scoop the corner, go down the side, scoop again and return to the band. Try to match the left frame.
Step 7: The side edge
Draw a tall, thin line just inside the right edge of the stack. It shows how thick the pile of bills is.
Step 8: Left paper layers
Along the bottom of the left bill, draw three short straight lines, one under the other. Start each at the left edge and stop at the band.
Step 9: Right paper layers
On the right side of the band, draw three more straight lines to match the left ones. Start each at the band and stop at the right edge of the stack.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a stack of money
- Draw the band after the big box, and let it stick out a little at the top so it looks wrapped around the stack.
- The scooped corners on the bill frames are the trickiest part. Draw slowly and curve each corner inward with a soft bend.
- Draw the three layer lines slowly so they stay side by side and about the same length on both sides of the band.

Color the bills a soft green and the band a bright yellow or tan. For a creative twist, draw a tiny face or a star inside the small circle instead of leaving it empty.

A paper band like the one on this stack is called a currency strap. In the United States, a standard strap holds 100 bills.
