How to draw Twig from Hilda step by step

How to Draw Twig From Hilda · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: The wide head

Draw a wide, rounded head shape with a gently curved top and a round bottom, like a soft bowl. Leave two little gaps at the top corners where the ears will go.

  3. Step 3: The pointy ears

At each top corner of the head, draw a small pointy ear that curves out and down. Connect each ear to the head so it looks like part of it.

  4. Step 4: The big antlers

Above each ear, draw a curvy antler that grows up and splits into two rounded, mitten-shaped tips. Start each one at the top of the head and make both sides match as best you can.

  5. Step 5: Eyes and smile

Draw two big filled-in round eyes low on the face, spaced wide apart. Between them, add a tiny wavy smile.

  6. Step 6: The small body

Under the head, draw the two sides of a small body that curve out and down. Add a little curl at the bottom left and two short lines in the middle for the front legs.

  7. Step 7: The fluffy tail

On the right side of the body, draw a big leaf-shaped tail that points up and curves out. Start and end it where it touches the body.

  8. Step 8: Front paws

At the bottom of the body, draw two small rounded paws side by side, like tiny boots. Fill them in with a dark color.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Twig from Hilda

  • Draw the head wide and round at the bottom. Twig looks cutest when the head is bigger than the body.
  • The antlers are the trickiest part. Draw one side first, then look at it and copy the same wavy shape on the other side.
  • Leave a little space between the paws so they look like two separate feet, then fill them in dark.
