How to draw Manny from Ice Age step by step

How to Draw Manny From Ice Age · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Fluffy top and ears

Draw a puffy, cloud-shaped bump of fur for the top of the head. Then draw a big curved ear on each side, starting at the fur and curving down and in, and leave the bottom of the head open.

  3. Step 3: The shaggy bangs

Under the fluffy top, draw a wavy line with a few little bumps across the forehead, like a gentle row of hills.

  4. Step 4: Trunk and first tusk

Draw two long lines curving down the middle of the face for the trunk, with a little curl at the tip. Add a short line inside each ear, and draw a curved tusk like a banana on the left side of the trunk.

  5. Step 5: The second tusk

Draw a matching curved tusk on the right side of the trunk, starting near the top of the trunk and sweeping out and up to a rounded point. Add a tiny line where the left tusk meets the ear.

  6. Step 6: Eyes and ear fold

Draw two small solid dots for eyes, side by side above the trunk. Add a short curved line near the top of the left ear to match the right one.

  7. Step 7: Body sides and front foot

Start at the left ear and draw a long line curving down the left side of the body to a flat, rounded foot. Then draw the right side of the body down beside the trunk, ending in a flat foot.

  8. Step 8: Legs and belly

Draw a short line near the left leg for a fold in the fur. Then draw the inside lines of the back legs and a curved bottom joining them to finish the feet.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Manny from Ice Age

  • Draw the fluffy top first, then add the ears so they curve out evenly on both sides.
  • The tusks are the trickiest part. Think of two bananas that start near the trunk and curve outward, and try to keep them about the same size.
  • Draw the trunk and tusks before the body so the body lines simply stop where they touch them.

Woolly mammoths really did have shaggy coats. They had long outer hair over a thick, warm undercoat, which helped them stay warm in the cold Ice Age.

Questions about drawing Manny from Ice Age

What shapes do I need to draw Manny?

You need a puffy cloud shape for the fur on top, two curved ears, a long curvy tube for the trunk, two banana shapes for the tusks, and a rounded body with stubby legs.

How do I make Manny look cuter?

Make the eyes small, round, and wide apart, and keep the ears big. A fluffier tuft of hair on top also makes him look softer and friendlier.

How do I draw the tusks so they match?

Draw one tusk first, then copy its curve on the other side, starting at the same height near the trunk. Small differences are fine and make your Manny look friendly.
