How to draw Sulley from Monsters, Inc. step by step
How to Draw Sulley From Monsters, Inc. · tinyhandscreate.com
Step 1: Head dome and right side
Start at the upper left and draw a big curved dome for the top of the head. Keep going down the right side, curving out wide and then in, and stop with a little hook at the bottom.
Step 2: The horns
Draw a small curved horn on each side of the top of the head, like a little leaf or a cat's ear. Start each one where it touches the head, curl it up to a point, and bring it back to the head.
Step 3: Left side of the body
Draw the left side to match the right. Start at the left of the head, curve down and out wide, and finish with a little hook at the bottom.
Step 4: Thumbs
Add a tiny curved hook at the bottom of each arm to make the thumbs. Make them small and close to the ends of the arms.
Step 5: Legs and feet
Draw a line down from inside each arm, curving out to make the outer leg, then add a wide, rounded foot at the bottom. Add a short line going up from the inner side of each foot to show the gap between the legs.
Step 6: Between the legs
Draw a short, gently curved line across the gap between the two legs, joining the two inner leg lines at the top.
Step 7: Eyes and nose
Draw two solid round dots for the eyes, side by side on the face. Then draw a small solid oval nose halfway between them, a little lower down.
Step 8: The big smile
Under the nose, draw a wide, flat line for the top of the mouth. Then draw a big curve underneath it like a bowl to make a huge, happy grin.
Step 9: Toe lines
Finish by drawing short little lines on the front of each foot to make the toes. Draw one line on the left foot and two on the right foot.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Sulley from Monsters, Inc.
- Draw the big dome of the head first, then the sides curving out into the arms. This keeps Sulley's body wide and round.
- Make both sides of the body match as best you can. If one arm looks a little different from the other, that is fine, because monsters are not supposed to be perfect.
- Make the mouth wide, almost as wide as the face. Draw the straight top line first and then the curved bottom, so the smile stays even.
