How to draw Gengar step by step

How to Draw Gengar · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Head, ears and arms

Start at the left bottom and draw a long curve up the side, then add two pointy ears on top with a dip between them. Finish the other side going back down, and give each cheek a tiny triangle bump.

  2. Step 2: Belly and feet

Connect the two sides along the bottom with a round belly curve. Add two small rounded feet with a short curved line between them.

  3. Step 3: The top spike

Between the two ears, draw a small tall triangle that points up from the top of the head.

  4. Step 4: Side spikes

On each side of the body, draw two small sideways triangles, one under the other, pointing outward.

  5. Step 5: The big grin

In the middle of the face, draw a wide smile shaped like a half circle: a straight line across the top and a curve underneath.

  6. Step 6: Teeth

Inside the smile, draw two short straight lines from the top edge down toward the bottom curve to make the teeth.

  7. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Gengar

  • Draw the body outline lightly at first, then trace the final line over it so the ears and feet sit in the right place.
  • Make the side spikes match on both sides by drawing the left pair, then copying them across on the right.
  • Draw the mouth as a straight line on top, then add the curve below. Keep the teeth lines short so the grin stays wide.

Questions about drawing Gengar

What shapes do I need to draw Gengar?

You need a big rounded body, a half circle for the mouth, and several small triangles for the ears and spikes.

How do I make my Gengar look cuter?

Make the body extra round and the feet small and stubby. A wide, curvy grin with big teeth also adds charm.

Why do my side spikes look uneven?

Lightly mark where each spike starts on the body before drawing it. Matching the left and right pairs side by side helps a lot.
