How to draw a kittycorn step by step

How to Draw a Kittycorn · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head and ears

Draw a wide, rounded head shape with two pointy ears on top, like little triangles with soft corners. Dip the line down between the ears, and let the sides curve in below the cheeks without closing the bottom.

  3. Step 3: The round body

Under the head, start a line on each side just below the cheeks and curve it down. Join the two sides with a bumpy bottom that has a small gap in the middle.

  4. Step 4: The little wings

On each side of the body, draw a wing like a soft cloud with a few bumps along the bottom edge. Start each wing at the side of the head and end it where the body begins.

  5. Step 5: The curly tail

On the right side near the bottom, draw a small skinny leaf shape that curls up. Start it where the body meets the bottom and swoop up, then back down to close it.

  6. Step 6: The unicorn horn

Between the ears, draw a small cone with a rounded tip. Close the bottom with a gentle curved line so it looks like it sits on the head.

  7. Step 7: The eyes

Draw two round dots for the eyes, in the middle of the face and far apart. Fill them in so they look shiny and dark.

  8. Step 8: The tiny smile

Halfway between the eyes, draw a small wavy line that looks like two tiny bumps side by side. This makes a sweet cat mouth.

  9. Step 9: Toes and horn stripes

At the bottom of the body, draw short lines to make the paws and toes: one slanted line on each side and two short lines in the middle. Then add two curved stripes across the horn.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a kittycorn

  • Draw the head first and make it wider than the body. A big head is what makes the kittycorn look so cute.
  • The wings are the trickiest part. Think of a few little cloud bumps along the bottom, and keep the top line smooth.
  • Draw the horn between the ears, and curve the bottom line a little so it looks like it sits on the head instead of floating.

Questions about drawing a kittycorn

What shapes do I need to draw a kittycorn?

You need a wide rounded shape for the head, a pear shape for the body, a small cone for the horn, and two cloud shapes for the wings. Two dots and a tiny wavy line finish the face.

How do I make my kittycorn look cuter?

Keep the eyes far apart and the mouth small. Making the head bigger than the body helps a lot too.

How do I draw the wings so they look the same on both sides?

Draw the first wing, then look at it in a mirror or hold your paper up to a window and trace it backward. You can also just match where each bump sits on the other side.
