Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The boot
Draw a tall boot shape: start with a wide rim across the top, then draw the leg down and curve it out at the bottom into a rounded foot that points to the right. Finish with a flat bottom that has a few little bumps along it.
Step 3: Sole line
Draw one long curved line across the bottom of the boot, just above the bumpy edge. Start at the heel and sweep it along to the toe to make the thick rubber sole.
Step 4: The tulip bloom
Above the boot, draw a round cup shape like a bowl. Give the top three little points, like a crown, to make a tulip.
Step 5: Stem and leaves
Draw a long, straight stem down from the bottom of the tulip to the top edge of the boot. Then add a pointy oval leaf on each side, curving up and away from the stem.
Step 6: The big flower
Next to the tulip, draw a puffy flower by making five round bumps in a circle, like a cloud. Add a short stem that dips down to the top edge of the boot.
Step 7: The small flower
Up above the big flower, draw another flower with five rounded petals. Keep it a little smaller than the first one.
Step 8: Flower centers
Draw a small circle in the middle of each of the two bumpy flowers.
Step 9: Raindrops
Scatter the rain on the right side of the page. Draw two teardrops, round at the bottom and pointy at the top, and add one small dot.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a rain boot with a spring flower
- Draw the boot first and keep the sides fairly straight, then curve the foot at the bottom. A light pencil line lets you fix it if the leg looks too wide.
- For the bumpy flowers, think of drawing five little clouds in a circle. Make each bump about the same size so the flower looks even.
- Let the stems end at the top edge of the boot, so the flowers look like they are really growing out of it.
