Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 3 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Foam and tub top
Draw a puffy cloud of foam with round bumps along the top. Leave a small gap in the middle of the top. Then draw a long, gently curved line along the bottom, joining the two ends of the cloud.
Step 3: The tub bowl
From each end of the long curved line, draw a side going down and curving inward. Join them with a wide, rounded bottom, like a big bowl.
Step 4: The tub rim
Inside the foam, just above the long curved line, draw a second wide curve that dips down in the middle, like a smile. Start and end it at the sides of the foam so the tub gets a rim.
Step 5: The rubber duck
Sitting on top of the foam, draw one outline for the duck: a round head, a rounded body below it, and a little pointed tail on the left. Add a small beak sticking out on the right.
Step 6: Eye and wing
Add a tiny dot for the duck's eye. Then draw a little curved smile shape on the body for a wing.
Step 7: The foam bubble
Next to the duck, on the right, draw a round circle that sits on the foam. Add a short curved line joining the bubble to the duck.
Step 8: Big floating bubbles
Draw three circles floating above the tub: a big one on the right, a medium one on the left, and a small one at the top. Spread them out so each has room.
Step 9: Tiny bubbles
Draw two very small circles, one on the far left and one on the far right of the duck. Keep them little so they look like tiny pops of soap.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bubble bath
- Start with the puffy foam and the long curve under it. Keep the bumps round and different sizes so the foam looks fluffy.
- The duck is the trickiest part. Start with the round head, then let the body swoop down from it like a bowl, and add the beak last.
- Draw the floating bubbles in different sizes and do not let them touch each other. A few small ones among the big ones make the page feel full of air.

How to color your bubble bath drawing
Try a yellow duck with an orange beak, a blue or pink tub, and pale rainbow shades on the bubbles. For a creative twist, color the foam in soft pastel stripes so the bath looks like sparkly cotton candy.
Bubble bath fun fact for kids
Bubbles are round because soap film pulls itself tight, and a sphere is the shape that uses the least surface for the air inside. That is why even a bubble made with a square wand comes out round.

How do I make my rubber duck look cuter?
Draw the eye as a small dot on the round head, and make the beak small. A big head on a small body always looks cute.
