How to Draw a Necklace (Easy Step by Step)
A necklace is a great first jewelry drawing because it is mostly circles and one big heart. You draw a ring of round beads, add two leaf shapes, and hang a heart at the bottom. Once you see the pattern, it is easy to repeat.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The heart pendant
Start low on the page. Draw two round bumps side by side, then curve each bump down and join the sides at a point at the bottom to make a heart.
Step 3: Top of the top bead
Near the top of the page, draw a small curved line that arches up like a little rainbow. This is the top of the middle bead.
Step 4: Bead on the left
Draw a round bead to the left of the arch, with a curved line joining it to the arch. Leave the circle a little open where it meets the next bead.
Step 5: Rest of the bead row
Finish the middle bead, then keep adding round beads in a curve on both sides of it, each one touching the bead next to it, like a string of bubbles.
Step 6: Lower side beads
Draw one more circle on each side, lower than the other beads. Add two tiny short lines joining each one to the bead above it, like a little piece of string.
Step 7: Left leaf shape
Under the left side bead, draw a pointy oval, like a leaf. Then draw a short slanted line from the bottom of the leaf to the left corner of the heart.
Step 8: Right leaf shape
Under the right side bead, draw another pointy oval leaf. Finish with a short slanted line down to the right corner of the heart.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a necklace
- Draw the heart first and place it low on the page. That leaves plenty of room for the ring of beads above it.
