How to draw a deer in the snow step by step

How to Draw a Deer in the Snow · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Body and legs

Draw a big rounded bean shape for the body, starting at the top left and curving down and around to the top right. Along the bottom, draw three short, rounded legs with small gaps between them.

  3. Step 3: The tail

On the upper right side of the body, draw a small circle that sticks out like a tiny round bump for the tail.

  4. Step 4: Left side of neck

Above the body, on the left, draw a short, slightly wavy line going up. This is the left side of the neck and head.

  5. Step 5: Antlers, ears, head top

Draw two curvy antlers with rounded, bumpy tips, and a leaf-shaped ear sticking out below each one. Connect the antlers with a gently curved line across the top of the head, then draw a short wavy line down on the right side of the neck.

  6. Step 6: The scarf

Draw a curved line across the neck from the left to the right, then a second curve below it to make a thick, puffy scarf. Join the two curves at the sides with small, soft bumps.

  7. Step 7: The scarf end

Under the scarf on the left, draw a small rectangle with rounded corners hanging down, like the end of the scarf.

  8. Step 8: The eyes

Draw two round dots for eyes, one on each side of the face, a little below the middle of the head. Color them in solid.

  9. Step 9: The smile

Between the eyes, draw a tiny wavy line for a little cat mouth. Keep it small and cute.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a deer in the snow

  • Draw the body first and make it nice and round, so the head and scarf have a good place to sit on top of it.
  • The antlers are the trickiest part. Think of each one as a curvy branch with round, bumpy tips, and take your time on the curves.
  • Make the scarf by drawing two curved lines, one above the other, and then join the sides with small bumps so it looks puffy.
